Kalaiarasan who started alongside Karthi in Madras, will be seen essaying a romantic hero — reprising late veteran Kadhal Mannan Gemini Ganesan in an upcoming flick which is titled Gemini Ganesanum Surulirajanum. Comedian Soori who is on a roll with promising projects, will be enacting late humour specialist Surulirajan in the film. The movie will highlight the romantic side of Gemini Ganesan and hence has four heroines in the lead.
With his unique voice modulation and flair for comedy, Surulirajan was ruling the humour scenario in K’town during the late 70s. Now, Soori who will be playing Suruli, is referring to the old movies of the latter to get his body language right. Meanwhile, Kalaiarasan is also portraying a key character in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali.
Gemini Ganesanum Surulirajanum is producer Siva’s 25th film and is directed by Odam Ilavarasu. According to a source, the movie will be a quickie, which will commence next month and be released next summer. The makers are currently looking for new faces to play the four heroines.
