The ePint even cheers for your favourite team during a match
With myriad advancements in the field of Iot, a variety of consumer-oriented companies are crafting unique devices that help you solve some of the most common problems faced regularly. One such creative project in recent times is the ePint—a smart beer mug.

ePint is the brainchild of a Los Angles-based consumer products company Xtreme Tech. Currently, a crowd-funding site, Kickstarter are organising a campaign and raising funds to promote this project. It is speculated to hit the markets if they manage to raise $50,000 from the endeavour and shipping will subsequently start as early as April 2016.
Utilising multi-color LED sensors, built-in social media connectivity, Bluetooth, and integrated fluid detection, the ePint serves a lot of functions such as keeping tab on the number of drinks you have during a party, booking a cab, and giving live updates when your favourite team scores.
How does the ePint work?
All you have to do is connect the smart mug to an Android or iOS smartphone using the ePint app. Using info from the app, the mug can keep a count of the number of drinks you have, and can even book a cab if you have had too many, just at the click of a button.

The mug sports an intelligent recovery feature, which gives you important information regarding how to get rid of next-day hangovers. You can also share data related to number of drinks you have had using the app. Additionally, it will also change colours to indicate the amount of liquid in it.
One more smart function of the ePint is its potential to give you score updates of your favourite teams. Once your favourite team scores, the e-pint app will get an alert, and subsequently light up the mug with your teams colour.
Unlike other smart mugs in the market, which only end up giving monotonous information, the e-Pint aims to make your party experiences better and keep you updated about sports events, and other interests.
