‘Karnad should be banished from India’
Davangere: Former excise minister and BJP leader Mr M.P. Renukacharya on Wednesday urged to banish litterateur Mr. Girish Karnad and pro-Kannada leader Mr. Vatal Nagaraj from the country for their controversial statements.
Speaking at a press meet here, he accused the state government of pursuing vote bank politics and sowing seeds of poison among castes and religion in the state. “The Congress is responsible for murder of VHP leader Mr. Kuttappa and Mr. Raju in a group clash that occurred during the celebration of Tipu Jayanti in Kodagu.
Both chief minister and home minister should know the reason for the incident and it should immediately be handed over to the CBI. Failing which, they should resign from their posts,” the ex-minister demanded.
In two-and-half years of their administration, the Congress has been courting one controversy or another and has no concern about development. Even though farmers committing suicide has increased, the government is yet to wake up, he charged.
