Kochi: Bar owner Polakkulam Krishnadas on Wednesday came in support of Excise Minister K Babu, disclosing that Mr Biju Ramesh had sought his help to persuade the minister to withdraw the defamation case.
"Biju Ramesh rang me on the night of the court verdict in the bar bribery case and sought to work out a compromise with the minister in the defamation case. I have the digital recording of the conversation," said Mr Krishnadas.
He alleged that Mr Ramesh was impatient and had threatened to “say all things against the Minister. I know him quite well and he is capable of such threats”, said Mr Krishnadas.
