Anushka Shetty clarifies she was never to marry Prabhas

Looks like Anushka Shetty and marriage rumours are inseparable. It is so common in the film industry that if an actress works with the same hero or director a few times, rumors easily start spreading about the duo! Anushka has also not been spared from this problem, caught in the centre of a storm that’s making the rounds in a few sections of the press and websites.
The actress who romanced Prabhas in more than five films was recently seen alongside him recently in SS Rajamoui’s blockbuster hit Baahubali. The couple share a great bond and Anushka said in an earlier interview, that she would love to work on any number of films with Prabhas. Now, grapevine has it that the duo was seeing each other, right from their Billa days and now with the success of Baahubali, both of them want to get hitched soon! However, it is said that the family of the Rebel star is against the alliance and want Prabhas to tie the knot to a girl of their choice instead.
If sources are to be believed, Prabhas’ uncle Krishnam Raju and his wife have already chosen a girl from Bhimavaram who is said to be a relative of the actor. The girl is in the final year of her B. Tech course and her picture is being circulated in social media. This has reportedly upset the Rudramadevi star and hence Anushka is rumoured to have flown to an overseas destination to focus on her weight loss after she gained several kilos of weight for her role in Inji Iduppazhagi/Size Zero.
When we contacted Anushka’s manager Raghu, he denied it as totally fake news and a figment of someone’s imagination. “Even last year, rumours about madam’s marriage to a businessman were being circulated, which were false. I don’t know from where they are getting such news”. On the report of Anushka taking off to Thailand for weight reduction he said, “That’s also not true! She is very much here only and working out as well to reduce those extra pounds”.
In a recent interview to DC, Anushka had said in a lighter vein, “It has become a routine for the media to link me with all the stars I work with. This gossip does not affect me these days. With so many films in my kitty including Singham 3, Baahubali 2 , I can’t think of getting hitched anytime soon”.
