80 per cent porn websites blocked with another 106 sites on the blacklist ahead

Eight out of 10 of the world’s most popular websites are successfully blocked by the MCMC (Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission), reported The Star. The Malaysian communication have managed to block popular porn websites such as xVideos, PornHub, xHamster, Xnxx, RedTube, YouPorn, Tubecup and beeg. These websites feature in the top most visited porn websites in the world, as per data from Alexa Internet.

MCMC had announced that they have managed to blank out almost 1074 pornographic websites that violate the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. The next round of blocking will include another 106 websites which are categorized under the same offence.

The MCMC has also asked the public to report any other websites that are spreading obscene content to them via an email address on their website.
