Samajwadis refuse to read writing on wall

SP is riding high on euphoria, generated by the media, over its developmental projects

Lucknow: The Bihar election results may have sent a strong message to the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh but the party is apparently in no mood to take cognizance of the same.

“Bihar has ‘taught a lesson’ to the BJP for its divisive politics”, UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav told reporters but denied that there was any message for his party in the results.

The party is riding high on euphoria, mostly generated by the media, over its developmental projects but the ground reality is that most of the developmental projects are either not being properly implemented or are yet to near completion.

A senior UP minister said that the law and order situation, electricity and the health sector are in a shambles in the state and all three portfolios are now held by CM.
