Lucknow: An official in Uttar Pradesh was transferred after he was found clicking selfies during an official meeting. The incident took place in Barabanki district on Monday during a meeting being conducted by district magistrate Yogeshwar Ram Misra.
Mr Misra sought replies to queries from the officials that included Block Development Official (BDO) Mangal Pandey. Mr Mangal Pandey did not respond to the queries as he was busy taking selfies on his mobile phone. The district magistrate immediately announced Mr Pandey’s removal from his post.
The district magistrate also issued directives that officials attending meetings should avoid using cell phones during deliberations. Mr Sushant Singh has been posted as the new BDO of Suratganj, replacing Mr Mangal Pandey.
