My brick, My Amaravati sets Guinness Record
The people of Vijayawada purchased over 1.58 lakh bricks at 8.30 pm on Tuesday
Vijayawada: AP government’s My brick, My Amaravati has got the Guinness Book recognition. MP Kesineni Srinivas launched the programme on Tuesday at 9 am to enter Guinness Book Record by purchasing record number of bricks with public participation in the stipulated period of 24 hours.
According to TD leaders, a similar concept was recorded in China with 1.5 lakh people’s participation in a day. The people of Vijayawada purchased over 1.58 lakh bricks at 8.30 pm on Tuesday. The programme would continue up to 9 am on Wednesday too. Urban TD leaders including MP Kesineni Srinivas also celebrated the Guinness Book record occasion at his office.
