She was practicing black magic

Rajahmundry: A tribal woman was tortured and beaten up to death by villagers over the allegation that she was practicing black magic, at Chinthakarrapalem of Y. Ramavaram mandal in East Godavari on Tuesday.
According to police, the villagers used to offer puja to a woman identified as Peketi Satyaveni presuming that she was possessed by the deity Durga. On Monday the villagers brought a girl, Pallala Saraswati, who was suffering from fever to Satyaveni. Satyaveni allegedly informed them that a woman identified as Kelala Chinna Lakshmamma, 32, was practicing black magic and she used it on the girl resulting in her ill-health. Angry villagers attacked the woman and killed her.
