Shah Rukh Khan to compete with Narendra Modi
Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan’s trailer of ‘Dilwale’ is not the only attachment that we’ll get to see with Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (PRDP)’. There is unexpected competition from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself.
A music video entitled ‘Mera desh hai mahaan mera desh hain jawaan’ celebrating the aspirations and achievements of the Prime Minister is also being attached to PRDP.
Producer and censor chief Pahlaj Nihalani who has helmed the video says he felt it was befitting to attach the video on the PM’s aspirations with PRDP. “I feel the film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in many ways embodies the spirit of Narendra Modiji’s campaign for a swach self-sufficient India. Sooraj Barjatya’s film doesn’t look to the West for inspiration. The motivation for his film’s hero comes from our culture.I was therefore very keen that my video goes out with this and no other film. I am glad it’s being done.”
With the 3-minute trailer of ‘Dilwale’ and the 3-minute patriotic song by Narendra Modi attached to the film ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ now stands at nearly 3 hours of running time. It is the shortest of the 4 Sooraj-Salman collaborations. ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ was 3 hours 15 minutes long. On the other hand, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ was 3 hours 26 minutes. And ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, the lengthiest of the four Sooraj-Salman collaborations , was 3 Hours 48 minutes.
