Need government permission to play against Pakistan: Shashank Manohar
Mumbai: BCCI president Shashank Manohar has not yet totally ruled out the series against Pakistan next month even as uncertainty continues on the issue.
“We need government permission to play against Pakistan and Board decision will be as per the government stand. We are seeking appointments with the government officials soon regarding that,” he said.
Meanwhile, BCCI approved six new Test centres Pune, Rajkot, Indore, Dharamsala, Ranchi and Vishakapatnam.
The BCCI have issued ultimatum to Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) to sort out issues and get all the necessary permissions from the state government by November 17 or lose the hosting rights of the fourth Test between India and South Africa at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium.
Pune has been selected as the alternate venue to host the concluding match of the series starting from December 3. Manohar also announced that the Indian Pre-mier League draft for the new teams to replace the suspended CSK and RR will be held soon.
