RAMESWARAM: In a significant goodwill gesture on the eve of Deepavali, the Sri Lankan government on Monday evening released 126 fishermen from Tamil Nadu, arrested by the Island-nation’s Navy over the past month for alleged charges of poaching and straying across the international maritime boundary line and lodged in various jails there, according to information reaching the fishermen community here.
