Starbucks' 'plain' Christmas cups not so merry for coffee lovers

Our core value is to create a culture of belonging: Starbucks spokesperson

Washington: Though the biggest coffee company Starbucks has introduced a special red-colored coffee cups for Christmas, seems like coffee lovers are not liking it as some fans shared on social media that they are not finding the cups so merry.

The former Arizona pastor Joshua Feuerstein recently discovered that Starbucks removed "Christmas" from the cups, and soon he decided to start a movement asking consumers to state their name as "Merry Christmas" so that way he made sure Starbucks put Merry Christmas on the cup, and internet was really quick to make the change, E! Online reported.

On the other hand, some supported the coffee company stating that there hasn't been anything innately "Christmas" on the cups in years, they always went for snowflakes, scarves, and snowmen, but they haven't said the word Christmas on them.

On this movement, a Starbucks spokesperson explained that their core values as a company was to create a culture of belonging, inclusion and diversity.

Each year during the holidays they aim to bring their customers an experience that inspires the spirit of the season and we will continue to embrace and welcome customers from all backgrounds and religions in their stores around the world.
