Ever since actor Vijay’s next Tamil movie was announced, there has been a lot of buzz about what kind of a story it is, who the cast members are, etc. If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, Amy, who had joined the sets of Vijay 59 a few weeks ago, is playing a Malayali character. Reportedly, Amy’s character appears in the flashback portions of the film.
A little birdie tells us that some people have already seen Amy shooting for Vijay 59 in a Malayali getup. One may recall that Amy played the role of a Malayali Christian in the Hindi remake of Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya, Ek Deewana Tha.
Directed by Atlee, the shooting of Vijay 59 is 70 per cent complete. The film has two female leads — Amy Jackson and Samantha. Veteran director Mahendran will be seen in a pivotal role in the film and Sathyaraj is playing the villain.
G.V. Prakash has scored the music and the shoot is expected to go on till December. The film is expected to hit the screens in the first quarter of 2016.
