Notice on JEE main by mid-November

Centre has decided against any large-scale changes in JEE 2016 considering the little time left

Hyderabad: The notification for JEE Main 2016 is expected to be released in the third week of this month. The notification has been delayed this year considering registrations for the exam had already started by this time last year.

JEE Main 2016 is likely to be held in the first week of April though the dates are yet to be finalised. Meanwhile, the Joint Admission Board has announced that JEE Advanced will be held on May 22 next year.

The JEE exam process is slightly behind schedule with the notification for JEE Main not being out yet. There are reforms in the pipeline in the JEE exam system but these will not be implemented at least for another year.

The Centre has decided against any large-scale changes in JEE 2016 considering there is little time left for the students to adjust. The only change is that two lakh students will be selected from JEE Main instead of the 1.5 lakh till this year.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which conducts the JEE Main, has issued tender notices for the same. It is expected that the notification will be issued sometime in the third week of November and registrations for the exam will be open till the end of December.
