Woman wins $8 million; casino tells her it’s a mistake

They just gave her $80 instead

How would you feel if you hit the jackpot at a casino and won millions of dollars? Elated? Overjoyed? And what if the casino guys just say that the machine was broken? Yup, that’s exactly what happened to one woman in Portland, Oregon. And she is understandably upset.

Veronica Castillo was ecstatic when won $8 million dollars at the Lucky Eagle Casino in Washington, in the United States, according to the Daily Mail. But then the casino managers told her that the slow machine that displayed the $8 million jackpot was broken. She said that she had put $100 into the machine and then saw that she had won more than $8 million.

But then the casino staff shut off the machine, took it away, printed out a ticket and gave her just $80. Obviously Castillo is having none of that and plans to hire an attorney.
