The car market leader had retailed around 11,500 units in on Dhanteras last year. "Dhanteras is going fine for us. Last year we retailed around 11,500 units in a single day and this time around weexpect to sell around 14,000-15,000 units in a single daytoday," MSI, Executive Director, Sales and Marketing, RS Kalsi told PTI.

Factors like low interest rates and cheaper fuel prices have led to a positive sentiment in the market, he added.

Besides, MSI's focus on launching new products, model refreshes and limited editions of various models have also led to an enhanced interest among the customers, he added.

“We have witnessed over 56,000 footfalls for Baleno in the last 10 days and have already received 21,000 bookings for the premium hatchback," Kalsi said.

Besides, the launches of Ertiga and Ciaz with smart hybrid system and limited edition of Swift have also helped ingenerating momentum in sales for the company, he added.
