BJP parliamentary board to discuss Bihar poll outcome tomorrow

Senior leaders in BJP said they will analyse poll results and take corrective measures
New Delhi: BJP's Parliamentary Board is likely to meet on Monday to analyse the poll results in Bihar where the JD(U)-RJD combine has outshone the party-led NDA.
According to sources, the board is likely to examine all the aspects and factors leading to the party's below par performance against the Nitish Kumar-led grand alliance. Party leader and Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav said it was for the top brass to analyse and introspect the reasons behind these results.
As per the trends available in the counting of votes for 220 out of a total of 243 seats, the Chief Minister Nitish
Kumar-led Grand Alliance is ahead in 142 of them. A party or a formation needs 122 seats to get a simple majority in Bihar Assembly.
Nitish Kumar's JD-U is ahead in 61 while its ally RJD, led by Lalu Prasad, is leading in 68 seats. The other partner, Congress, is ahead in 13 seats.
