Hyderabad: Unemployment among technical graduates and postgraduates in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh outstrips those among simple arts and science graduates.

A sixth of all technical graduates and postgraduates in Telangana (1,85,915) and a fifth in Andhra Pradesh are unemployed and seeking active employment, according to the Census 2011 data.

Technical graduates are engineers, doctors and so forth who have received technical education unlike arts and science graduates. However, unemployment among arts and science graduates in both states is just about 10 per cent.

The All-India Census data was released by the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India on Friday evening.
