Initially, there were reports that filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj’s Iraivi revolves around the relationship between two brothers, based on a Christian family. Now, the latest we hear is that the movie also shows how women in this day and age influence the society — and it looks like the makers have given a lot of prominence to the leading ladies. A little birdie tells us the movie even has an interesting crime angle to it, like a murder followed by a series of happenings after it. However, official confirmation is awaited on this.
Starring Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, SJ Suryah, Anjali, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Pooja Devariya and Karunakaran, the film will also star SJ Suryah, who sources say, will be seen in a never-before-seen character which has negative shades to it. It’s also being said that his character will be the movie’s main attraction.
The first-look teaser of the film is expected to be released some time soon. Slated for a December release, Iraivi has Santhosh Narayanan scoring the music and the project is bankrolled by CV Kumar’s Thirukumaran Entertainment.
