Hyderabad: The English and Foreign Languages University took disciplinary action against 11 of the 12 students on Thursday evening who were earlier served show cause notices for staging protests in the campus.
The protests were staged by students demanding election to students union and to voice their protest against issuing of show cause notice to a student for a Facebook post.
Disciplinary actions were issued against eight students, ranging from cutting Ph.D fellowships for a period of three to six months, to restricting presence of students in campus from 9 am to 6 pm.
