A monster Android smartwatch is here

More than a smartwatch, the device is like a smartphone on a wrist

Full Android. Web, Apps, Messaging, Voice & Video calls, on your wrist. The claim by Rufus seems like the device could be a desire, but not until the consumer tests it.

Rufus Cuff is an Android smartwatch which is more than the conventional smartwatch we have seen today. Apart from being as tiny as they should, the Rufus Cuff is more like a smartphone strapped sideways to your wrist. Born on a crowdsourcing platform IndieGoGo, Rufuslabs has already started taking preorders and priced it at $249.

Rufus claims that the Cuff is not a smartwatch, but more than that—it’s a ‘wrist communicator’. The device has a 3.2-inch display with Gorilla Glass protection, runs on Android OS and allows you to make and receive calls with a loud speaker on board. The Cuff also allows for video calls with a front-facing camera.

The Rufus Cuff works with all fitness apps and sports GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope and a compass. The smartwatch is capable of communicating with any Android and iOS devices.
