Former TNCC chief hits out at Elangovan

Thangkabalu said he was upset with the way Elangovan had alleged charges against him
CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Congress leader K.V. Thangkabalu on Thursday demanded TNCC president E. V. K. S. Elangovan to refrain from making adverse remarks on state party leaders and other Tamil Nadu politicians.
Addressing reporters, Thangkabalu said he was upset with the way Elangovan had alleged charges against him that he had amassed property in Tamil Nadu.
“I accept the charges as a challenge and want Elangovan to prove his statement. And if there is any encroachment of government land proved against me, let my property be attached as per law.”
His family had even donated 20 acres of land in Salem in 1952 to government to start a school and this was his back ground, he said adding that Elangovan should make efforts to strengthen the party.
