Apart from her acting career, Samantha has always been involved in noble causes through her NGO Pratyusha and by being actively involved in many awareness programmes.
The actress is organising ‘The Organ Donation Pledge’ campaign on Saturday at a hotel in Hyderabad. Not only will she take the pledge to donate her organs, she also wants her fans to do the same. “We just had a virus campaign for babies and free vaccinations,” informs the actress, adding that a lakh babies die every year from it.
“We think that we need money for charity, but organ donation does not require money. Your organs can save a life after you die. Everyone can do something for a better society,” adds Samantha, who has Thangamagan and the untitled Vijay-starrer in her kitty.
