Sookshmananda had a role: Biju Ramesh

Mr. Ramesh told reporters here that Sookshmananda had created the situation for the murder of the Swami
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Bar owner Biju Ramesh, general secretary of Sree Narayana Dharma Vedi, has alleged that Swami Sookshmananda had a role in the death of Swami Saswathikananda.
Mr. Ramesh told reporters here that Sookshmananda had created the situation for the murder of the Swami. He also asked the government to investigate the man-missing case of Swami Preethatmananda who was a vital link in the death of Swami Saswathikananda.
Mr. Ramesh claimed that SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan had promised to make Swami Sookshmananda the head of Sivagiri Mutt if Saswathikananda was killed.
Saswathikananda, who constantly travelled in trains, was forcibly taken in a car by Sookshmananda, said Mr Biju.
“Swami Preethatmananda has been missing for 10 years and still there is no information whether he is dead or alive. Vellapally is an autocrat and anyone who speaks against him is at the risk of losing his life,” he said.
The government should entrust the case to the CBI rather than to a state-based agency, he said and added that there had been interference from some quarters to suppress the case and scuttle a re-probe.
