P Rajeev alleges Congress, BJP nexus
Even the Mayor has admitted that she could not perform well due to intense factionalism
KOCHI: The Congress and the BJP had forged secret alliances in many divisions in Kochi and other local bodies in the district and the two parties were engaged in vote trading, CPM district committee secretary P. Rajeev alleged. While addressing media persons here on Tuesday, he said that the Congress had become the ‘B’ team of the BJP and this secret alliance would help the LDF.
“During the campaign, the husband of a prominent UDF candidate welcomed the BJP candidate in the neighbouring division. The voters have realized that the Congress has miserably failed in defending the communal divisive politics of the BJP and LDF is the only alternative. This realization will reflect in the elections,” he said.
Deputy mayor B. Bhadra’s revelations on the crisis she had to face during the last five years indicate the fate of future women leaders in the Congress, he said.
“Even the Mayor has admitted that she could not perform well due to intense factionalism. All these incidents prove that uncommon and unprecedented incidents have happened during UDF rule,” he said.
