Good days for Telangana if TRS loses: S Jaipal Reddy

People of Warangal should ponder as to what necessitated the bypoll
Hyderabad: Stating that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s “arrogance, coupled with a dictatorial attitude” has forced the bypoll for the Warangal Lok Sabha seat, Congress senior leader S. Jaipal Reddy on Tuesday said the state will “see good days” only if TRS tastes defeat in the byelection.
Speaking to the media at the Gandhi Bhavan, Mr Reddy said that the people of Warangal should ponder as to what necessitated the bypoll.
“KCR dismissed the then Deputy CM S. Rajaiah citing corruption, but failed to give any details of the “corrupt” activities of Dr Rajaiah. This means that here is a CM who wanted to sack his Deputy for no reason. Is this not dictatorship?” he asked.
Mr Reddy accused Mr Rao of playing “dirty, unethical and dangerous political games, just because people voted him to power.
“He has resorted to political gambling ever since he came to power and wants to rule the state in any manner he wants. He was successful in the general elections as he had promised many things, but failed to implement those promises,” Mr Reddy said.
“If TRS loses, it will be a slap on the face of KCR which is badly required in view of the government’s failure in many sectors,” he said.
Nalla Surya Prakash is YSRC choice:
The YSR Congress has named senior leader Nalla Surya Prakash as its candidate for the Warangal bypoll. YSRC TS unit president Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy handed over the ‘B’ form to Mr Prakash in front of the media here.
Mr Srinivas Reddy said that the late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and his welfare schemes still linger in the minds of TS people and expressed confidence that the party will win the bypoll.
Criticising the TD and Congress for saying that the YSRC’s decision to contest will split the anti-TRS vote, he said that the people of Warangal are wise enough to choose their MP. Mr Prakash will file his nomination papers on Wednesday.
