#bookmybai: New maid service advertisement goes viral on the Internet

Advertisement is being criticized as you can domestic help service based on religion

A new domestic help advertisement suggested that husbands should gift their wives a maid and this has triggered huge reaction on Twitter.

The leaflet of #BookmyBai that was shared on Twitter was criticized and accused of promoting sexism.

One of the user called the ad “human slavery ad”.

One of the comment on the Facebook firm’s page read, “So Bais are objects that a man gives as a 'gift'?”

One of the tweet read: "Maids (humans) have become commodities. Brilliant thinking, @BookMyBai geniuses."

Though many appreciated this new service venture but said that the advertisement was promoting a wrong message.

The website's co-founder Anupam Sinhal said, people were reading too much into the ad. "We did not mean to offend women and it was meant to be taken in a light-hearted manner," he said, as reported by BBC.

The website faced more trouble when the reports stated that how this website was allowing the clients to pick up domestic help service based on caste, religion and region.
