Nominees will be vying for 12 popular awards and six special awards that will be presented to winners from each region and those common across the four languages. Technical awards will be presented for 10 categories.
On day two, IIFA Utsavam will felicitate and celebrate talent from Tamil and Malayalam film industries. The final day will be for the Kannada and Telugu industries.
Day one of the event will see an interaction with prominent film personalities, CEOs and policymakers to discuss cinema-tourism and other investment opportunities.

According to organisers, the Cinema of South India is being celebrated as a single entity by encompassing four massive film industries namely Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
During the announcement film stars from South showed their support by voting for their favourite movies and talent at the IIFA Utsavam Voting Day.
