After working with Ram Charan and Allu Arjun, Rakul Preet has been approached to act opposite another actor from the mega family. Director Malineni Gopichand, who will be directing Varun Tej, wants the actress as the female lead. “The director narrated the story to Rakul and she liked it. Discussions are on and the project may be finalised in a couple of days,” says a source close to the unit.
After the success of Kanche, Varun’s stars are ascending and he’s got a few films lined up. His next film, Loafer with director Puri Jagannadh, is set to release soon and it will be followed by the one with director Gopichand. The film is being produced by Tagore Madhu and Nallamalupu Srinivas. Shooting will start as soon as Rakul is finalised.
