Hyderabad: An impressive batting display from Hyderabad ensured they escaped with a draw in their Group ‘C’ Ranji Trophy match against Jammu & Kashmir played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday.
Resuming at 122 for 2, captain G.H. Vihari and Danny Derek Prince added seven runs before the latter got out on 62. However, the batsmen who followed — B. Anirudh and K. Sumanth — batted well to take their team to 329, setting the visitors a 150-run target.
J&K, having already pocketed the first innings lead, played out 17 overs to make 56 for 2 and finished on top. They take home three points from this match while Hyderabad earn a solitary point to take their season tally to four and languish at the eighth spot in the nine-team Group ‘C’.
