Man gifts fiancée an engagement ring made of his wisdom tooth

Couple Carlee Leifkes and Lucas Unger decided to do some radically non-traditional when they got engaged on Halloween. Instead of getting a diamond like everyone else, Leifkes chose to have an engagement ring made of Unger’s wisdom tooth!

They met each other for the first time at a music festival in Unger’s native Canada earlier this year and later on moved in together in California. The two even came up with the idea for the ring together. Leifkes believes that diamonds are ridiculously overrated and didn’t feel she needed one from the guy who relocated to another country just for her, according to BuzzFeed.

The pair got Unger’s dad to mail them one of the wisdom teeth that he had got extracted when he was younger. They later took the tooth to a jeweller to see if they could get their dream ring. Leifkes later posted a picture of her unique engagement ring on her Facebook page where she wrote that her lover’s wisdom tooth meant a lot more to her than any diamond.
