Mumbai: The refreshing and beautiful face of Gaana.com ad, Pia Bajpai is going places. The actress is grabbing plenty of attention for her commercial and that’s not all. Her debut film, 'Yeh Laal Rang', which will release next year, has already got insiders going gaga over her acting prowess. Now, we learn that she has bagged her second film. Interestingly, she signed her next project while she was busy shooting for 'Yeh Laal Rang'. The title of the film is yet to be finalized and is being helmed by director Rajesh Ram Singh and will be produced by Green Apple Media in association with Falansha Media Private Limited.  The film is slated to release in April, 2016.

“I am thrilled and very much excited that I am already shooting for my next even before the release of Yeh Laal Rang,” says Pia.

On being quizzed about how she bagged the role, she adds, “I share a long association with the casting director of the film, Jogi Malang. He called me for audition and after a couple of look tests I got the role.”

When quizzed what the film is about, she says, “The film is a desi love tale set in the backdrop of Varanasi. My character is called Juliet and she is very much ‘dabang’ in her own way. She would not blink an eye before hurling cuss words on boys or in picking up a fight with them.”

In the film, Pia will be paired opposite Darshan Kumaar, who got rave reviews for his performance in 'Mary Kom' and 'NH 10'. Chandan Roy Sanyal of 'Jazbaa' fame also plays a pivotal role in the film. Speaking about her co-actors, she says, “I had a gala time shooting with Darshan. We got along like a house on fire. I am yet to shoot with Chandan.”

Pia, who hails from Etawah (Uttar Pradesh), is very much happy and content with the kind of roles that are coming her way. “I always wanted to do such films and I feel very fortunate that I am getting to play such characters”, she signs off.
