Motorola announces world’s first smartphone with shatterproof display
Touted as the world’s first smartphone with a shatterproof display, Motorola has announced the Moto X Force. The smartphone sports a 5.4-inch quad-HD display, which has a five-layer construction that absorbs shock from impact, keeping it from shattering.
The Moto X Force is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which is accompanied by 3GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage, which expandable using a microSD card. Along with that, it comes with, what Moto claims is its best feature, a 21MP primary camera with rapid focus, and a 5MP wide-angle front facing camera.
The smartphone is fuelled with a decent battery that lasts about 48 hours, claims Motorola. It also sports a fast charging technology, which according to Motorola offers a battery life of 13 hours with a 15-minute charge.
In the UK, the Moto X Force is available at 499 pounds for 32GB and 634 pounds for 64GB. The smartphone’s pricing and availability in India hasn’t been confirmed yet.
