Domestic help alleges harassment in Narsingi
Hyderabad: A domestic help has alleged that a former professor at who house she was working had sexually abused her on Friday evening at his home in Narsingi.
Police said Mohammed Masood, 67, had retired as a professor and was staying with his wife at an apartment in Kohinoor Enclave at Puppalguda. Their sons are settled in abroad. The victim, aged 28 years, had divorced her husband a year ago, and resides in the neighbourhood. She had working at Masood’s house nearly a month ago.
According to the police, Masood molested her at about 9 pm on Friday, when his wife was away.
Narsingi inspector P. Ramchander Rao said: “He told her he would set up a small store for her if she submitted herself to him. When she refused, he tried to force himself upon her. Shocked by the incident, she ran out of the house.” Masood is now absconding. Based on a complaint, police booked a case under Sections 354 and 509 against Masood.
