14-year-old wonder boy making models is pride of Visakhapatnam city
Visakhapatnam: This 14-year-old boy P. Shanmukh of Vizag is truly a wonder boy with many unique achievements at this tender age. He can design a model of any object he comes across, be it the complex circuits of electronic products and big machines, after just one look. Even B.Tech students come to him if they cannot understand complex theory of electronics.
He has made a lift machine, door with alarm facility, fire alarm system and many such electronic products with his own idea and understanding. Son of a TV mechanic P. Rajesh, who is even unable to afford a computer, Shanmukh recently launched a short animation film on housing sparrows on how the species of birds are going to extinct owing to urbanisation and radiation from electric and mobile towers.
“I do not have computer at home, so after my school time, I spent time for about an hour for two months at Datapro computer laboratory where I am doing an animation course, to make a short film for conservation of sparrows,” said Shanmukh.
Shanmukh is working on another animation film based on child labour. When asked how he identified his son’s potential, Shanmukh’s father said, “I had taken him to Kailashgiri ropeway once when he was in Class IV. After seeing it, my son asked me how a ropeway is made. I just ignored him than saying it was a very complex process so and he was too young to comprehend.”
“After two days, he showed me the model of ropeway using the spare parts available at home. Since then I take seriously whatever he says,” he added.
“I have a hobby book that explains different types of circuits and with the help of it I understand how a product has been manufactured,” said his talented son.
