CCB rescues two minor girls from prostitution racket
Bengaluru: Sleuths of the Women and Narcotics squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) have rescued two minors aged 12 and 10 years from a brothel in Brindavan Nagar in Madivala and arrested two women who were forcing the minors into flesh trade.
The accused Ambika, 26 and Deepa, 22, were the minors' relatives and had brought them to the city from their hometown, Mandya. The duo had advertised the minor girls on their WhatsApp group and had offered them for a price of Rs 2 lakhs.
Based on the information, the sleuths sent their decoy with cash, who later tipped off the police after confirming the presence of the victims. Police then arrested the two women and rescued the minor girls.
The police have learned that both the minor victims had lost their respective fathers recently. While one of the victims was a dropout after 4th standard, the other was in her 7th grade. The accused who knew about their poor financial condition lured their mothers by offering Rs 5,000 and brought the victims to the city on the pretext of getting them jobs.
