Time and again, artists exploring certain themes have been known to end up shocking people with their work. This is what exactly happened when one woman artist in London stripped down completely and sat on the rooftop for four hours in the chilly autumnal weather. She claimed that this stunt was a piece of performance art, according to the Mirror.
The nude artist, Poppy Jackson, was spotted high above London’s East End, by several puzzled passers-by on their way to work. She termed her performance piece - ‘Site’ and has even announced that she would be repeating the feat on Saturday.
Many witnesses also remarked that she was shaking in the freezing temperature during her stunt. A description of the performance says that it, “investigates questions relating to temporality, the body in site, representation and gender through consideration of the use of the body in performance as an activist practice”, according to the Mirror.
