Hyderabad High Court to decide in 2 weeks: Writ on Talasani Srinivas Yadav

Journalist moved the writ seeking to declare the action of CM in appointing Mr Srinivas Yadav as minister as arbitrary and illegal
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Thursday said it would decide after two weeks whether a writ of quo warranto filed against minister T. Srinivas Yadav should be listed for hearing or not.
T. Sivaprasad Reddy, a city-based journalist, moved the writ seeking to declare the action of the Chief Minister in appointing Mr Srinivas Yadav as minister as arbitrary and illegal.
He said the CM’s action was in derogation of Article 164 (1B) and in violation of Articles 14, 21, 164, 191 and the 10th Schedule of the Constitution.
The registry placed before a division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice S.V. Bhatt a question whether a writ of quo warranto can be moved against a minister. A writ of quo warranto required the respondent to show what authority they have to exercise the right or power they hold.
