Hyderabad: Chain-snatchers robbed a 65-year-old woman at Turkapally on Thursday morning.
The bike-borne criminals snatched a 20 gram gold chain and fled.
The victim Kamalamma, who is a resident of Turkapally, was walking to Rizal Bazaar when the duo attacked from the back.
The incident occurred near the compound wall of Hakimpet Indian Air Force station.
“It is a deserted place most of the time. The bikers came and snatched the chain before she could raise an alarm. The closed circuit television (CCTV) footage secured from the area showed the pillion rider wearing a helmet. The driver was not wearing a mask or helmet. We alerted all police stations,” said an official from the Alwal police station.
