London: Offering an erotic sensuality to the visually impaired, a Swedish artist who had created a “sensual braille book” has presented the publication to the country’s national library.
The “tactile” tome presents X-rated images of women wearing strap-on, gay sex and group sex.
The Independent said Braille book is believed to be the first-of-its-kind written material to present erotic stimulation to the visually challenged.
Nina Linde, who created the book in 2010, but gave an official copy to the National Library of Sweden this week - insists that despite its graphic content, it should not be labelled “porn”.
“The book is about sexual stimulation, I don’t think “porn” is the right word,” she said, adding: “And sexual stimulation is for everyone.”
The artist said the inspiration came after a visit to the Braille Library in Stockholm.
It was there she found there was “no dirty stuff for the visually impaired”.
