Clicking selfies with fans got this TV actor arrested in Saudi Arabia

He was later released on bail

The moral police in Saudi Arabia got so worried when popular TV actor was mobbed by young female fans in a mall that they actually arrested him. Nope, we aren’t making this up. Abdul Aziz al-Kassar, a Saudi citizen who resides in Kuwait, says that he even had his phone confiscated but was later on released on bail, according to the Independent.

The good-looking actor was on a working visit to Riyadh when the incident occurred. According to a Gulf News report, Kassar had publicised his visit to the Al Nakheel shopping centre on Friday evening after he asked his followers on social media for recommendations of “the best mall to visit”.

A video of the episode from the mall has been posted on YouTube and Twitter which features Kassar surrounded by women clicking photos before he is dragged away by a man in white robes.
