Hyderabad: Flavoured hookah does not leave any smell on the body, clothes or even in the breath due to which family members and others are not aware when someone smokes it.
Most family members were surprised when they came to know that their young children frequented these parlours on a daily basis. A parent on condition of anonymity said, “There is peer pressure and also status issues that the child has to deal with because they have to be seen doing the right things, which they feel is important. We were completely taken aback and had no idea of this addiction. We are now providing treatment for best recovery.”
Upset parents want to approach the government to take action against these parlours. Another parent said, “These rising medical cases is an evidence that there is a breeding problem and there is a need to curb it.”
