Akhil Akkineni’s debut film Akhil is set for a solo release this Diwali on November 11.
Our sources say that a few films that were scheduled to release on that day have been deferred to ensure that the film gets a solo release. The crime comedy Sankarabharanam starring Nikhil and Nandita had been announced for November 11, but it has now been postponed. “Yes, we are now releasing our film on November 20 as we want to give space for Akhil,” says writer Kona Venkat, who has produced the film.
“Hrithik Roshan was the only actor who became an overnight star in India after his debut film, and now Akhil is going to be the next actor to be so,” he adds. Kona, incidentally, wrote the dialogues for Akhil’s film.
Meanwhile, Bengal Tiger, starring Ravi Teja, is scheduled for a November 5 release, a week before Akhil’s film.
