KOLLAM: In an attempt to defend the SNDP, BJP state general secretary A. N. Radhakrishnan said V.S. Achuthanandan has the role of an item dancer in the present-day Kerala politics by his constant attack on SNDP.
"Moviemakers introduce item dance when they realise that the movie is not going to become a hit. The CPM is using Achuthanandan as an item dancer because no other item with the party sells," he was speaking to media persons here on Tuesday.
"The good old man's words do not match with his culture. Achuthanandan tries to establish all he said was right by blaming Vellapally Natesan. He says Vellapally will be locked up in jail, but the fact is that Achuthanandan's son is the biggest thief and he is fit for the jail," he said.
He also said Achuthanandan had no complaints about Vellapally when he was the chief minister. VS would not go to Malappuram to challenge the IUML, as the CPM and the League have an understanding this election, Mr Radhakrishnan alleged.
