Hyderabad: A man from Malakpet allegedly circulated his wife’s phone number in the personal classifieds space of certain websites mentioning her as a call girl in order to take revenge on her.
E. Murali, 38, had broken up with his wife and allegedly used to harass her, at the height of which he resorted to defaming her, police was told in a complaint.
The couple were married in 2002 and has two children.
The woman told the police that she got several calls from online visitors seeking sexual favours, and some abusive calls as well, and then her parents approached the police and lodged a complaint. Murali is in police custody now.
