Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Ayushmann step out to watch 'Titli'
Mumbai: Some offbeat movies bring gloriously gritty, engaging and real-life stories from pan India and one such movie is Dibakar Banerjee's 'Titli'. The director, Kanu Behl along with his team unveiled organised a private screening for few fellow celebrities. Ayushmann Khurrana and Vidhu Vinod Chopra were snapped at the event.
Ayushmann expressed his delight after watching the film. He tweeted, "Watched Titli. It introduces us to the harsh realities, brill performances and fab realistic new age cinema. Thanks @KanuBehl and co."
‘Titli’ received rave reviews when it was first screened at the 2014 Cannes International Film Festival, and has since then traveled to 22 international film festivals, winning awards and opening to immense box office success in France and Germany. However, Dibakar feels that “festival” tag poses as an obstacle and forms a certain perception of the film.
Earlier, Dibakar revealed that the first trailer of his production 'Titli' was changed due to feedback that it didn’t capture the core essence of the film.
The movie features Ranvir Shorey and the titular character is played by Shashank Arora. The movie revolves around Titli, the youngest member of a violent car-jacking brotherhood that operates in Delhi's terrifying underbelly. The film presented by Yash Raj Films also features Amit Sial, Lalit Behl, Shashank Arora and Shivani Raghuvanshi playing the main roles.
