Shaandaar’s unique promotional stunt
Makers launched an irregular promotional stunt for the film with Facebook
Mumbai: Grand sets, exotic locations and peppy music did little to help Vikas Bhal’s ‘Shaandaar’ at the box office. The film has collected about 33 crores in the first weekend. With Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the leads, makers went all out and didn’t leave any opportunity to promote the film during the weeks rounding up to the big release. From special appearances on TV shows to garba celebrations, Shahid and Alia assured their fans that they were in for a visual treat.
Unlike the regular promotional strategies, the makers thought of the most unique way to promote this family drama. ‘Shaandaar’ has tied up with Facebook and incorporated the name of the film as one of the emoticons.
Though, this film garnered no fame at the box office, this promotional stunt is surprising. ‘Shaandaar’ indeed!
