A nasty Twitter war
Ameesha Patel’s refusal to stand up during the National Anthem seemed to bother Kushal Tandon
The most unexpected of Twitter feuds blew up on the social media platform, when former Bigg Boss contestant Kushal Tandon tweeted about Bollywood star Ameesha Patel refusing to stand up for the National Anthem at a movie theatre in Mumbai. “Saw one girl sitting while the Anthem was on,” Kushal Tweeted on Saturday, “Guess who she was... Ameesha Patel! What were you trying to prove?”
Ameesha didn’t notice first, but on Monday she hit back with a nine-Tweet rant. “Whoever that so called kushal Tandon is is a real jackass,” she wrote first, followed by, “Idiot Kushal Tandon had the nerve to tweet that I didn’t get up during National Anthem. I had the monthly girly problem. Getting up would have caused a blood flow on the theatre ground.” She went on to call him a “shame to society” for making her have to openly speak about her “girl problem”.
Meanwhile, Twitter had a field day with comedian Sorabh Pant chipping in: “Kushal Tandon and Ameesha Patel argue over who has the higher moral ground. When everyone knows the answer is: Kamaal R. Khan.”
